Description : In Mai, A child shares with a mother. That bond is questioned when an old woman is no longer wanted by the children, and faces a life in an old-age home as her inevitable conclusion, when her beloved son lets her down and abandons her as soon as he lands a good job in a foreign country. The younger two daughters also shy away from the responsibility of taking care of their aged mother, but the eldest daughter comes through and the love for ones mother over-rides all emotions for Madhu, who emerges as the sole child `Mai` can rely upon.Madhu`s family life is troubled as well. While at home, her disagreements with husband Subhash have been getting uglier, and she also has to contend with a tremendous amount of pressure at her workplace. Trying to maintain a difficult balance between her personal and professional life, Mais deteriorating health eventually forces her to quit her job.At this emotionally tearing juncture, Mai and Madhu reconnect with each other and the mother-daughter relationship creates a touching tale, reminding us all that the love for your parents should be eternal and not wavered by convenience.
